HOW TO SPOT FAKE/REPLICA LOUIS VUITTON PACKAGING

Tags:
Most LV items come with a yellow tag indicating the material used and a white tag is sometimes included, with an illustration image of the item, the model name and number, whether it is a limited edition, or multicolored. Fake/replica tags often have the incorrect font, color, and/or texture.

Booklets:
Booklets are also sometimes included. Authentic tags/booklets are made of quality paper materials and the grain on the brown paper is defined. Fake/replica booklets often have the incorrect font, color, and/or texture. Fake/replica LV items will sometimes include extras such as a "Qualified Certificate" or a "CUIR GLACE" booklet which should only come with the Vernis collection.

Dust Bags:
Vintage LV dust bags are brown with "LV" in dark brown print. Modern dust bags are yellow with "LOUIS VUITTON" in dark brown print. Some dust bags have a rope closure while others fold over like an envelope.
Inside the dust bag is a label that states the material used and where it was produced. Authentic LV sunglasses dust bags do not have this inner tag.

Boxes:

All LV accessories, such as wallets, sunglasses, key chains, and etc., come in brown boxes. The boxes are made of quality paper materials and the grain on the brown paper is defined. They are embossed with "LOUIS VUITTON" on the front and the text is aligned towards the right while the text on fake/replica boxes are centered. The drawer has a small brown leather pull loop and the edges should be clean. It is also longer compared to fake/replica pull loops. The inside edge of the box should have a serial number and some boxes also state the place of production.

Shopping Bags:
LV shopping bags are made of quality paper materials and the grain on the brown paper is defined. They are embossed with "LOUIS VUITTON," "MAISON FONDEE EN1854," "PARIS," all centered towards the bottom front. On the bottom of the bag should be a serial number and place of production. The handles are thick, brown coiled ropes.
